Window weather stripping size / dimensions?

What is the recommended size for the weatherstripping used on windows? I have a 73 AS and the PO installed stripping on one of my windows that looks to measure 3/8" x 3/8", but looking at some picture here on the forum, the popular D stripping looks to be less than 1/4" x ?

Is there a standard, or recommended size?

Thanks!

Hello from Texas! I, and many others, use the D shaped weatherstripping from Out of Doors Mart and other sources.
Here is a thread for you to reference.

It is 1/2" wide.

Thanks. I saw the forum vendor recommendations, and have certainly given them much of my money for lights and other products, but at a 1.50 a foot and about 70 ft needed for all my windows, I am wanting to shop around for options. thus the size question.

Thanks for the info. I still may purchase from inland if I don't find a better deal.
