Window weather strip for Traveler body
Hi all,
I'm looking for the rubber gasket or weatherstripping that goes on the trailer window frame for the window to close against. The window frame has a 1/4 inch groove that the smaller part of the strip slides into.
Take a look at the attached photos of old stuff.
Are there other options? Please advise.

You can also find many sizes and styles of weatherstripping at Home Depot, Lowes, Auto Stores. They'll let you snip a small sample and make sure it fits. Prices are good as well. The weather strip I ordered from Inland was different than the original on my Tradewind & not what I expected. It works, but I could have bought it locally with more options at a better price. I have some left over, if you'd like I can send you a small piece to try, but again, you can get samples if you're close to one of those stores. Good luck.

We too bought 65' of the gasket from Inland (in our case anything is better than what we have on it now )
However we did not get the "adhesive" at the same time - just thought we could get some stuff up here - over here and save on the weight and shipping costs - plus might be cheaper too with the dollar taking a dive again!
T.H. what did you use for an adhesive? There are so many out there - we just looked at our local guy but not too much in the line of "sticking to metals" - mostly wood and concrete.
Any advice??? Thanks

Use 3M weather stripping and badge adhesive. It bonds well and is easy to work with. 3M also has an adhesive remover that works well.
Should be available at your local Auto Parts store.

There are many kinds of adhesive.
The choice is as always, price or quality.
We just returned from the factory, and demonstated to them that their "new" type adhesive "does not" bond to the gasket. Therefore with a little side force, the gasket will come off.
The proper adhesive is the same thing that the auto industry uses.
After it's set up, you can only remove the gasket by tearing it. That speaks for itself.
The adhesive we supply is exactly that, the top of the line.
Most hardware stores "do not" stock it.
Again, you will get the performance that you are willing to pay for. The price of the adhesive is cheap, compared to having to replace a gasket again, because it became lose and deformed.
Contact cement, "IS NOT" the proper adhesive.

Cindy.
We came up with a "D" shaped gasket for your windows that we tested and found that it works very well.
Several owners have tried it and like it.
You can see it on our web site, part number 45370.
