Window leak Questions

Currently working on a 64 Tradewind and have just finished installing a new body panel on the rear of the veh -- I have all the interior panels removed and have been leak checking everything and have found many leaks at the windows -- The windows will all get new seals but some of the leaks are comming from were the window frame meets the body -- my question is should I try to push in sealant around the window frames to reseal them or should I drill out the rivets and remove windows and reseal them and reinstall - and if I remove them - do you use butyl tape and vulcum or do you just use vulcum to seal them to the body ???
I have tons of questions about all kinds of things but one thing at a time
Thank you in advance for any help -- I would like to repair all the leaks before starting to replace the floor (thats the next step)
Thanks again
Scott
