Where to buy Vulkem and Parbond in B.C.?

I'm in a bit of a pickle, I need to find Vulkem and Parbond aluminum caulking to seal all the leaks on my restored Airtream asap.
I've tried Home Depo, home hardware, RV Centers..
Any Western Canadians know of a quick source, Time ufortunately is an issue and cross boder mail order at times takes a few weeks.
Thanks everyone for any help.

I bought a tube of Parbond at the local RV place. If they don't carry it, see if they can order it. Also, you might try calling around to neighbouring towns, check their RV service/parts departments. Maybe somebody here in the states could send you a tube? Maybe that would be faster than mail order? Just thinking out loud.

On edit: I haven't found Vulkem anywhere here locally, only on-line at a couple of places. Although, I have read here on the forum that some have found it at HD.

We've been thru how many different varieties there are of Vulkem -- and the hardware store tubes are usually the wrong ones. Many prefer Sikaflex 221 -- it is very smooth and actually sets this week (skins over in half a day as a matter of fact). It's good and thixotropic -- holds a peak, doesn't sag. See http://www.airforums.com/forums/f381/vulkem-25132.html. Ordering online at Austin Hardware was very easy!

Here's a company that carries Vulkem and Sikaflex in your backyard. Maybe they will sell it to you direct.

Good luck.....

Thanks for the kind note Bob, as you know Vintage Trailer Supply and others have been supporting our Photo of the Month Contests so I just had to throw in the plug!

If you're in Vancouver, stop by this place:

Cascade Aqua-Tech

Cascade Aqua-Tech, as mentioned by Ganglin. I stop there to buy Sikaflex 221, whenever I need it.

Edited to add: I see you're over in the Slocan Valley, so coming to Vancouver may not be an option. I think Cascade will send it out by courier. Failing that, ask a hardware store if they can special order it for you.

Rick
I don't get it.

So did you do a bad thing Rick by plugging Vintage Trailer supply in this thread?

I purchase at a local construction supply store in STL. Thay also carry alot of concrete sealers, expansion joint material, concrete forms, etc. Might be source like this in your area (not an RV supply store). They have it in 12 stock colors plus can order custom colors.

Yuki, not at all. Bob was just pointing out that the vendors that you see here (other than the adverts at the top of the page) don't pay a fee to be a part of the forum, unless they choose to just like you or I would. Likewise, they are not allowed to sell stuff here except in the Vendor Forum. You can read the rules for vendors in the Community Rules section.

Now that I've said all of that required stuff, I've used a couple of the vendors here and have had very good results. I especially like working with Vintage Trailer Supply. Good folks that take good care of their customers.

Jim

I just thought of another posible source. Try a local glazing company. Sika products are used extensively in window applications, so they may have some 221 or would be willing to get it in for you.
