Where to buy seals/gaskets (in Canada)

Before I place an order to ship these items from the USA I was wondering if the window and door seals for my Argosy can be sourced locally?
Are all these items generic? Can I get them from a big box or hardware store?
I am putting together a shopping list for vintage trailer supply and (especially) Inland RV and I am wondering if I just place the order there and put up with shipping/brokerage?
Any info would be appreciated?

Thanks
Bex

If your going to use the newer D gasket on the windows and access doors (I don't believe Inland recommends it on the main door but I could be mistaken) you can buy that at any well stocked RV dealer. The should have various sizes on spools and you purchase it by the foot.

Personally, I really like D gasket for the trunk and other access doors - I didn't care for it on the windows only because of the look. I'm sure many have used it on windows and are very satisfied with it.

What else would you use then?

I had mine shipped from VTS even though I desperately try and avoid UPS. I've had stuff from Can-am too but after the GST, PST and Canadian Postage it's pretty much a wash. (If vendors won't use USPS it's a major turn off for me as UPS adds about 10% on to the total cost).

The original gasket was double flared.

It's problem, is that it fails in a few years because of it's design.

The "D" far out shines it in performance. That's why many owners have shifted to it.

Thanks folks.
I think I found a supplier in Red Deer, Ab for some items.

Andy, I will be in touch in a few days with my parts order and some further questions.

Cheers

Bex
