Vulkem ??

Hello All I have a Vulkem ?? ... can you put new vulkem over old vulkem.. or does the old have to be removed ??? I have the interior skins off and I tried to seal up a few spots over the old vulkem with sikafex and the old vulkem just came off when I picked off the sikafex ... I dont have that many leaks but I would like to take care of them from the inside ... I dont want to mess with a good thing but some of the vulkem has started to get quite hard ..... so replace or reseal??

Sure seems loke a good time to use something that would 'wick' into the seams, then cover with Vulkem.
Most times it is so tough to remove, I clean it, and seal above old.
But yours is coming off easy?
Sounds very different from the areas I have found old Vulkem.

I would not say it comes off easy ,but I can see where it has come off or was missed ... this is on the inside of exterior panel seams ..but it is not that soft I can scrape it off with a little elbow grease !!!
