TremPro 635 vs. Loctite PL S-40

Has anyone used Loctite PL S-40 instead of TremPro 635 for external leak prevention? The Loctite product seems to be something that can be picked up at a local HW store and TremPro is a little more effort to obtain.

I read the tech sheets for Loctite PL S-40. I would use it if I did not have access to TremPro. But, I have never been in that situation. I've always been able to find TremPro within a few minutes of home.

I used some.. doesn't seem to have same 'grab' on the aluminum... yes, the aluminum was properly cleaned before application.. For a 'quick fix', it is ok..
