I recently purchased a 2005 25' Safari. When I was waxing the trailer and roof I noticed the white caulk on the roof seam looked like it could stand to be replaced. I have a plastic, v-shaped tool to remove the old caulk, is that the best tool to use for this job? Also, what would be the recommended caulk to use to reseal that seam and also reseal around the vents, etc. on the roof? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. We love the trailer!
On the areas of the roof that you cannot see from the ground, I'd recommend using ParrBond along the seams, then cover them with Eternabond Alumibond. Won't have to worry about those seams for a LONG time.
