Oh brother! We are in the Santa Cruz Mountains (PNW) California and its wet up here (this is a good thing for the environment) in the winter. We started our AS Argosy reno a few months ago. Weather was still nice while we sealed, and I mean sealed, the roof and top vents.
We have the inside gutted down to the spray insulation, have redone the subflooring and getting read to seal the walls back up. However, the side rivets in the horizontal seem are leaking. There is no sun that comes up over the trees and we have had a lot of rain and its not getting above 55-60 during the day.
We used Cpt. Tulleys on the roof rivets along with Sikaflex and another entire roof sealer (my husband knows the product details). So, he went to use the Cpt. Tulleys on the side rivets (this is the horizontal seam that runs around the trailer and the rivets are under a strip that also needs to be recalked after the rivets are sealed).
Issues: Cpt. Tulleys not drying due to cool and most temperatures so can't begin the calking.
We are looking at some rain free days the next week so this may help.
Hoping for input re: the issues above and being able to move forward with the sealing. Possibly there is another product to seal the rivets with besides Cpt. Tulleys that will dry more quickly? Even the Sikaflex is taking days to dry when its not raining.
