Roof leak

Just bough a used Airstream and it has a slight leak by the skylight. Is there a special type of caulking I need to use to repair it?

Vulkem, Silkaflex, Seamermate. Available at most good hardware stores and Fastenal. Don't use Silicone.

I use a product called 'White Knight' which is the RV version of 'Black Knight' roof-repair. It can be applied even it is raining, so it's in my emergency trailer bucket.

What kind of skylight is it?

The reason I ask is that metal to metal sealants like Vulkem don't work that well on glass to metal or plastic to metal. If it's metal to metal, I use Vulkem 116 gray from Home Depot or Lowes. It's also used to seal concrete cracks.

If it's glass to metal, or plastic to metal, I use 100% pure silicone.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

Thumbs up Welcome Aboard....

I've used all of these with excellent results. Sika 721 UV would be my first choice.
