Doing a shell off refurbishment of a
1963 Bambi
Had to replace a skin that has a window. Taped off the seams, and used Trempro 635 to seal between the skins. The window frames seem to have a much "bulkier" material to seal the frames to the skin. Got some "tacky-tape" from the local RV parts store. However this seem a little to thick & spongey and not sure if the forces involved in buck riveting will dimple and deform the window frame without something solid behind it
When reseating a window frame, still use Trempro 635, the bulkier tacky-tape or something different all together ?
