Rain Leaks

Well, I suppose like many along the mid-atlantic area, I took a soaking yesterday. The forward roof vent on my Excella has the gasket pretty well shot and the crank mechanism is broken. Under normal rain, it's just fine. But when it rains so hard that it bounces off the shell and blows up under the vent cover, it takes on water.

Came home from work, it was a deluge. Thought "I better check the Airstream." Well dang and blast. I saw it had come under the vent and made it into the ceiling. It followed the center ceiling piece and leaked on the street side in a couple places. Fortunately, the biggest leak was right over the fold out table, which I had folded out. I did get some onto the carpet. Ran the A/C all night and it seems to have gotten a good start on drying it out, but it's got that terrible musty wet carpet smell in it now.

Any advice on how to fix it? Seems to me like the first order of business is to duct tape that vent cover for now, then get the replacement vent stuff on the way

Call me All Wet...
