Nuisance leak

I had a nuisance leak for the past few months where the penetration for the antenna is. Water develops on the inside of the handle and if it rains enough it drips. Well after 16 ounces of water the best this is to find the problem before it develops into an issue.

This was also found to be the source of the phantom leak on the Airstream Life project trailer. I wonder if it is just the coaches that are painted that seem to have this problem, or if all Airstreams suffer dissimilar metal corrosion like you found.

Found this on my 75 TradeWind, Not painted. I was kinda surprised it corroded that way. Maybe the shaft that holds the worm gear that produced a charge that fueled it....

Did you have an antenna...

that had the signal amplifier in it? DC voltage going through two different metals will cause that. I saw this on an episode of Mythbusters, one of the guys used a battery charger to eat away the steel bars of a prison cell.
