Magic Tool

(now, get your mind out of the gutter)

I have seen on this forum a reference to a popular plastic tool that people use to scrape and clean seams. Does anyone have a link to this tool?

Thanks!
Eric

That looks like a "magic" tool indeed. I just ordered two of them from Amazon, $5.99 each with free shipping. One for AS and one for the garage.

Thanks for the link!

This may be the link:

https://www.harborfreight.com/nylon-...-pc-69668.html

Looks like it could be very useful to Airstream detailing. I'm going by Harbor Freight tomorrow and will see if it's available at my local store.

Thanks.

Will these melt if exposed to aircraft stripper which is sometime necessary to soften old caulk?

For similar items in metal, look at manicure/pedicure tools.

The mothership uses pieces of the sliding overhead cabinet doors that are cut to a chiseled point. I obtained one and have been using it for the last year. It works well. Also, watching one of the tech's strip and seal for 3 hours was a priceless experience. Feel like a pro after watching and talking to him.

We were discussing stuck windows and I suggested a bone tool.
I bought one from Amazon.
Then I remembered I bought a "Panel removal tool set" when I installed the brake controller. Never used it because I could pull the dash panel off with my fingers!
However it contains a bone tool!
So save a few bucks and buy the package! $4.99!

A cheapo plastic disposable putty knife hangs on a key hook in our AS. 79 cents.

Hi

If you use a credit card, use an old one. The magic strip on the back can wear off using them as a tool. If you have one with a chip in it, they are a bit fragile .... You do a *lot* of window popping
