Is Acryl-R really worth the $$$$

Was looking at getting some Acryl-R and the neat little applicator. Airstream.com is priced at $44.90 with 16 oz, but out of stock. The local Airstream dealer wants $25.11 for a pint plus $41.13 for applicator. I've been using Silkaflex and parbond---is Acryl-R really worth the extra dollars? Don in Idaho

Alternate Source for Applicator

The applicator that Airstream uses is made by Plews, part number 30-960. Instead of paying Airstream $44 try:
Tools - Construction Tools & Automotive Tools - Toolfetch.com $16.19
AMINEXUS, INC. - The superstore for professionals worldwide $14.94
Online Shopping - Compare Prices at bizrate $14.94

The pint can is 18.95 when you buy it at the factory. I found it at a local caulk/sealant suppy company for 14.95.
