Hi all,
This is my first post on here but I've been stalking this forum since I purchased my
Sovereign last month. I owe a big thank you to all the smart people who have gone before me and know how to do things the right way the first time...So thanks for all the knowledge and know how! My question pertains to the vista view windows. I have a leak coming from one of them (interior skins have been partially removed to detect source) I know I have big gaps in my original exterior gaskets (or glazing, not sure what the proper term is for this but it's the gray hard plastic-y stuff that sits on the window where the glass meets the frame) It has shrunken away from the edge. I was going to remove it (somehow), clean up the glass and reseal with caulking. I have a tube of ADSEAL in gray. Can I use that? Or should I use Trempro 635? Is this the best way to go if I'm not planning on taking out the window entirely?
ps. I should mention I have the icky condensation/UV peel issue going on as well. Is the best method for getting rid of that breaking the inner pane? (mine are both glass). Or should I 'do it right' and take out the window, clean them up, use new gasket, etc? Thanks in advance for any advice!
