gutterseal, sikaflex 221 or both?

After removing centimeters of old caulk my vent is ready for re-sealing. In the seam is still some flexible material available - see picture. My guess putty tape?? Removing and re-installing is not an option as there are about 50 Rivets!
Reading this forum I though of re-sealing in a two step approach: 1) fill interior of seam with gutter seal 2) add add a second layer of sikaflex 221.

Can you use these products together or do they negatively interact with each other?

Thanks for your advice..

I've tried the gutter seal product and I hated it. It didn't "wick" into the seam at all like it was claimed, and it skinned over immediately so it was impossible to tool. I removed all of it that I used and replaced with gray sikaflex.

I suggest getting a plastic syringe and filling it with sikaflex or dicor to shoot into the gap, then seal around the perimeter with the same product.
