City Water fitting/leak below

I have a steady dripping leak directly under the city water inlet. Any thoughts or ideas?

Mine just started leaking too. I have an access panel that you unscrew. You probably have the pex line with a screw on fitting that screws to the backside of the inlet. I just tightened mine and it solved the leak.

One suggestion. Is this leaking in plain sight, right out of the rear of the fitting?? Might just be a bad rubber/neoprene hose washer in the fitting. If it's leaking from the pan, it might be an overpressure condition that your street water pressure regulator isn't handling - above 45-55 lbs/in.

I had this 2 weeks ago and thought the same thing. Water was coming from just below the outside connection out the wheel well. I took my access panel off below the kitchen sink to look at the fitting. It was fine. My flex hose to my bathroom sink was leaking at the hand wand and since it ws in the holder at the sink it leaked onto the subfloor under the sink just in front of the outside fitting. My method for diagnosing this was to disconnect the city hose and preasurise the system with the trailer pump - still had a leak so I dug further and found the sink flex hose to me my problem - new hose solved it.

If its directly underneath, it sounds like a simple washer will do the trick. Change that out and see what happens.

Finally got around to attacking the problem and it was as simple as tightening the fitting on the backside of the inlet.

Interesting... My CCD has just developed a similar leak...a drip, actually.... and you've given me a couple of ideas as to where to begin diagnosing the problem. Thanks!

Had this happen on my Classic when it was new. It ended up to be a loose fitting next to the water heater. It was a matter of just tightening things up.

We had a leak on our city water inlet. The sick smell of mildew was our only alert as the inlet is inside a night stand. Very seldom go in there for anything except maybe our weapon. There was a fine mist spraying from a pinhole which made for a very soggy carpet. Being 6'2 and weighing in at 230#s I had one heck of a time getting to this tight area. Why share this story? I'ts wise to check this from time to time for those of you that own a 34'. The weapon was SS so a good clean up did the trick. A fan placed just outside of the door dried up the carpet but I was afraid to check under it. Hope this never happens to any of you. Check it out. If your pump cycles off and on while having the city water turned off, you just might have a leak.
