Captain Tolley
Just curious if Captain Tolely has an negative effect on other forms of caulking when used in conjunction.
For example, if you suspect a leak around a window that has been caulked and used CT after the caulking has cured, will it have an effect?

I have done just that. When an unexpected leak occurs on the road, where polyurethane has pulled away from the skin, for example. It works and I have gone months or more before getting around to replacing the poly with no further leaking. Long term, I don't know, but certainly works for a quick repair with no apparent incompatibility.

I Had rubber seals on a window that were cracking and letting moisture in. I used Captain Tolley to seal the cracks. I did have to multiple applications to completely seal it.

Yes, and I have used it on the door window rubber to glass interface for a permanent fix, as water was getting inside the door and draining out on the aluminum sill.

I used Captn tolley on joints around the windows, doors and around panoramic windows on the 2005 classic.
it appears when it dries it a clear strong material that looks to be inert for the most part. You should cut the tip real small..and clean the area you are you are going to reseal.
I just let it dribble while moving it along the cracked gaps stopping when i was really taking the juice. I flows nice around the curved frame of the glass sucking in along the way.
I plan to retreat the area again, after this heat breaks in NC, to make sure it a good seal.
highly recommend and keep a good supply of paper towels on hand to catch over fill..
