Question black sticky gasket?

My Alclad skin has arrived from AirParts. I've cut it to length. I've drilled and removed most of the rivets from the damaged area. There is what appears to be a black sticky gasket with fiber in it. Where can I get some of this gasket at?

Try this place: http://www.austinhardware.com/produc...478&pf_id=3250 (They're in Dallas, not Austin)

Or do a search on 'butyl tape'.

This sounds like carpet tape which is designed to be used outdoors. It is 100% weather proof! The tape looks like an impregnated black strip of fiber mesh. Good luck getting it off of anything. All big hardware stores should have it. I just used a bunch to apply R-4 aluminum sheet insulation to beef up and hold in the original fiberglass. Great stuff!! The tape sticks to dirty aluminum GREAT!

I have used this stuff when repairing automotive A/C units. You can try an auto a/c parts supply store, if you can't find it anywhere else.
