'63 Door Gasket

I need to replace the door gasket on my 1963 Tradewind. Vintage Trailer Supply offers one for the period 1957 to 1964, except for 1963. Inland RV offers one, #45313, for the years 1958 to 1963. How can the first one not work for 1963 but the second one will work for the same years including 1963. In a recent posting Andy is quoted as saying that: "For 1963 models, the gasket for the door and screendoor, is the same." But then, in another posting, he says that #45313 is not right for the screendoor and the correct one for that application is #45295. So, does that mean that the correct one for the main door is also #45295, the parts catalog notwithstanding?

Has anyone actually gotten this little job done successfully, and if so, which gasket did you use?

Which gasket/gaskets to use depends on the screen door fit.

If the screen door is flush, with the entrance door, then you use 45295 on it.

If the screen door is not flush with the door, by about 1/2 inch, then you use 45313 on the screen door.

It all depends on which screen door your Airstream has.

In either case, 45313 is correct for the entrance door.

Andy

Thanks for the guidance. I'll double check tonight but I'm pretty sure the door-within-a-door is flush.

Yes it will.

You will need 15 feet of 45313 and 10 feet of 45295, plus a tube of super weatherstrip adhesive.

I checked last night and the screen door is indeed flush. Thanks for the help. I'll be placing my order after while.
