59 Front door gasket?

I'm shopping for replacement gasket for our front door, here's a pic of what we're replacing, any ideas of where to find something close to this?

Spring is here!!!

The correct entrance door gasket for a 59 trailer, is rectangular shaped with a small bump on the outside top edge.

It's installed with adhesive.

Here's what I bought, it says this is correct for my '59 Caravaner, now I'm wondering if it is correct. Also, does it glue to the door frame next to the skin or the door skin next to the frame with the lip facing outward.

I got mine from a private individual Richard Rodrigues who buys full rolls and sells sections to us crazy restoration DIY folks.

This was his quote a couple of years ago for my 58 Flying Cloud. I did the door and the Astrodome with his gasket material. Don't know if he's still around, but pop him an email at: putzrs@sti.net

HI
37.50 for the door, 4.00 for the vent, 8.00 shipping.
Send to
Richard Rodrigues
2582 Mountain Way
Mariposa, CA. 95338

e-mail me first on the size of the vent and year of trailer.
Thanks
Richard

gasket

I used the vintage trailer weatherstripping for the entry door. Easy to work with, glued on easily and sealed up tight when finished. Will have to add completed pics later I thought they were on this camera.

more pics

Had to retweek the door frame to fit the opening so the new gaskets would contact properly.

Looks like that area won't be leaking. Good job and thanks for posting pictures.

I think it will be leaking, since pop rivets were used to secure the door hinges.

Thats a good point Andy, but I was commenting on the gasket replacement and not the rivets.
