1986 Sovereign - The Yet Unnamed Girl

Well, as requested, here's a picture of the toothbrush swallower. She's in beautiful shape inside (other than a couple of small leaks). Has newer refrigerator, water heater, fantastic fans, & nice Zip Dee awnings. I couldn't pass her up, even though Bessie is in tip top shape. Bessie will have to find a new home after we go camping in her one last time. I am wondering if there are rivets behind the beltine or rubrail on this year coach. My '76 did, but I haven't started pulling them off of this one yet. Also, the window guards are different on this one & really have collected junk over the years that she sat. Do you keep them on when you're not traveling, or store them? I plan on stripping the clearcoat off & then redoing all the caulking (there's not much left anywhere!?--don't know why). From reading these forums, I don't think I can polish her up like I did Bessie, but she should look nice when she's all cleaned up.

Becky, the new coach looks great. It will have rivets behind the top rubrail, and I would clean the glop from inside the sunglasses and fasten them back in place. All it would take is one rock thrown from a lawn mower or a bratty neighbor kid to break one of the windows, and they are not cheap.
Also, if you take your time, you can in fact polish your new coach to a shine approaching that of your Overlander. Also, we named our Sovereign Bertha, it seems to fit the larger trailer...

Hi Becky!

Despite her strange appetite she is a beauty.

I have ,been spending way too much time channeling a name for your new baby and have a suggestion for you.

Do you remember the movie/play "Little shop of Horrors" While it did have a dentist, what struck me was the veracious plants unusual appetite, very similar to your baby's toilets propensity for strange objects.

Therefore, I name your girl for the star of "Little shop of Horrors"

AUDREY II

and how cool would it be to explain to strangers the background meaning of her name!

Just beautiful!!! After you get her cleaned up she will be stunning. Sure ya not going to polish As far as the window guard (sun glasses) as quoted above leave it on, the past owner put one on the Peppy and I'm so glad for the protection. Plus he does kinda look cool with his sunglasses on and yes he does wear them at night.

I think that is hillarious! I'll have to see if the rest of the troops like it & decide if it'll stick. Thanks for the suggestion, Michael!
