Surprise surprise, the windows leak in my
1968 26' Overlander. I'm working on replacing the gasket on all windows with new gasket from VTS (because the old stuff was totally rotten and being held together with all sorts of caulk from previous owner).
The windows that I've already replaced the gaskets on still leak. Mainly water dripping in through the bracket that holds the plexi/glass, but also leaks around the two little permanent windows that don't open in the "living room". Any suggestions?? What is the best material to use to try and seal leaks? I've gotten lots of advice and read about several products (silicone caulk, Vulkem?, TremPro, etc) but wanted to get some more advice here before I use something that won't work well.
*note: the windows on this yr airstream are Philips Windows that don't have an actual frame around the glass/plexi. If that influences anyone's advice
Thanks for the help!
