Why does 1 of my 3 vents look different from inside?

I have a 73 safari and one of my three vents have a plastic mold and 2 rails riveted across. just curious why? also I plan on putting in a fantastic and would appreciate if someone had any recommendations as to which one of the three i should put the new vent in.
Thanks, Ben

On mine the rails support the factory fan. I would pull that one apart and see if there is 12 volts tucked in there somewhere

My trailer had power vents at the front and bedroom locations. The middle vent had no fan. I removed them all and replaced all three with FanTastic fans.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

Ah ha! That explains why the middle Fantastic Fan in my Sovereign keeps blowing a fuse every time I move the trailer. Whoever put in the wire screwed up.

yes, I still have the fan in mine. works good...kinda loud, though. one day, I'll replace it w/ a Fantastic.
you should be able to find a wire for a light fixture, as well as a fan.
