Vintage Hehr vents

Hello, All
I,m looking for parts to replace missing pieces for roof vent.
I know a lot of you have replaced your old Hehr vents with Fantastic Fans and such. Do any of ya still have your old vent just layin around collecting dust.
My 64 Safari is missing the forward 14 x 25 vent. I believe that I have found a suitable replacement cover from Airstream Dreams.
What I need is the crank up parts to make it a functioning vent once again.
So if you want to recoup some of your expense, let me know if you can part with the old vent.
The condition of the old rim or cover is not important as long as the crank up parts are funtioning.
Any other sugjestions or ideas i.e links and such are welcome.
Thanks
Silverhawk, Bob

Vintage Hehr Vents

Greetings Bob!

When I had my front vista vent (14" x 25") reworked two years ago, I chose to go with reproductions of the Hehr operators. While they aren't physically identical to the original Hehr units, they are functionally excellent. I purchased these reproductions through Inland RV, and I am very satisfied with their operation.

You can find a photo of the part that was used on my coach through the link to Inland RV found below:

Good luck with your project!

Kevin

Replacement Vent From Airstream Dreams

I just received that replacement vent from Airstream Dreams. It is very solidly constructed, and looks identical to the original. I am very happy with it. Tom

How did you attach the Hehr to the vent cover? I'm in the same boat but I have all the cranks - just need the covers - will get from Inlandrv I guess - does Airstreamdreams have the correct sizes?
thanks
