vent screw bushing

our 69's mid-vent is missing the plastic/nylon bushings that hold the screw mechanism in place. without the bushings there is of course a lot of slop left to right. They also wouldn't tension down to hold the vent securely shut. I put a spring clip over the top holes so the screws could push against something so the vent wouldn't lift when traveling, but does anyone know if the plastic hardware on these original vents are still available? Several trips to local hardware stores yielded nothing useful.

Thanks.

Sorry, but the plastic bushings have not been available for about 6 or 7 years at this point.

I will look into it in a couple of weeks, since we have received several requests recently.

Andy

thanks Andy, if you come up with something, put us down for enough for 3 vents (2 plus 1 set of spares for down the road).
