Rivet Vent Options

I have seen several threads and posts concerning vent replacements with Fantastic Vents and competitors. My 1983 34’ Excella has the combination florescent light/skylight/vent as shown in the attached photograph. The thing is, I like this fixture, once I replaced the florescent works with those from a Thin-Lite that will accept commonly available warm white tubes. One down, two to go. I have converted every florescent tube in the Airstream to warm whites except for the two ceiling vent fixtures in the center and the bedroom, and I seldom use these because of the horrible blue color. They will be fixed. The quality of light from the warm whites is excellent.

My question (finally) is, has anyone done a vent conversion that is compatible with the light fixture in the photograph? The photographs I have seen indicate that the controls for the other vents would be covered and there would be no place for the lights. Simply cranking the vent up operates these vents. Admittedly, there is only one speed and no provision for rain sensors.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks,

I think you will find the cover far to restrictive on airflow to be used with the fantastic. If you plan on keeping the Airstream IMHO I think the Fantastic with its lifetime warrenty is the only way to go and it does one heck of a job.
