Vent Actuators

My 62 Ambassador has the Ladeau vent actuators. I recently purchased some used ones on Ebay to refurbish the larger vent as it was missing the actuators. What would be the best lubricant to use on them? I have cleaned them and removed the corrosion with WD40. I was thinking about white lithium grease or possibly another type of grease.

Any recomendations?

I would use a very very slight amount of Vaseline. It is not a good idea to over-lube these actuators, as they will have a tendency to open while driving due to the vibrations of the trailer. I suggest you just clean them real well, and then leave them alone..a little friction will prevent the vents from opening while driving.
Frequent use will help keep them working well. They corrode when sitting unused for a long time.

Thanks for the information. I had thought of Vaseline, but was unsure since the parts are aluminum. I thought it may be too thick. I will give it a try.
