Shurflow fan shuts down

Hello all,

I have a new Safari Sport 17 and for the initial 20 - 25 nights, the Shurflow fan worked flawlessly. On my latest trip however, the fan will turn itself off after it runs for 20 - 30 seconds. If I wait for a minute or two, I can turn the fan back on, but it again shuts off after 20 - 30 seconds. This model is basic outflow only, no auto cover raiser, nor thermostat, etc. There doesn't seem to be anything constraining the free-turning of the fan.

Does anyone have an idea what to check next?

TC

Does it do this on all fan speeds? Low, medium, and high?
It is possible you have a fan motor that is drawing excess current, and either a thermal protection device or circuit breaker is opening to keep it from causing a fire.

The Shurflo has a variable speed control, but yes it seems to shut itself off even if I use the slowest speed . . must be a faulty circuit . . it would shut off during the day (still 95 degrees here in Phoenix) or at mid-night (65 degrees) at about the 20 second mark.
