roof vent cover

I know this is going to sound crazy but I hope it is going to work.
We are redoing the outside of the a/s and of course the plastic
vent covers are shot. I go to alot of marine stores and saw
these stainless steel fishing pole holders that flush mount on boats. The pipe is at a 60 degree angle in respest to the bracket;
which is pretty close to the roof angle of our a/s. I'm hoping that
if I flip it over and grind off the lip and cut it to length it will fit.
The outside diameter of our vent pipes are 2" which is the same
inside diameter of the pole holder.
I've read on other threads where some people have used the
old covers again with fiberglass but somehow for me I would
like to stay with stainlees or aluminum if I can.
If this works out I'll somehow post some pictures. If you never
hear from me again, well I'll leave that up to your imagination!!!!

Yeah,

It sounds crazy to me but I believe most of us have had hair brained ideas like that at one time or another. I would first see if they are available, if the ones on your 67 are like the 70's models, which I think they are the same or can be adapted, I know you can still get them.

I would call Inland RV and see if they can help you.
