Reversing Kit

I received the reversing kit from Fantastic today. Unfortunately, they apparently sent me a kit made for the wrong fan model and the wires on the new switch would not reach. No problem though; the reversing switch was the important thing I needed. A couple of quick wire splices and I now have a genuine reversible front fan.

Say, is there a part number and phone number? I'd like to get this part from Fantastic too.

Thanks!

Woo Hoo!

Just installed the part - Works like a charm!

Instructions are a bit confusing, but workable. Only one wire to cut and solder.

Now need to buy a new Fantastic Fan and replace the bedroom vent...

Xray,
Call the Fantastic Fan company and tell them what you have - they'll know what to send you...800-521-0298 or 810-724-3818

Yes, that Fantastic folks are, well, fantastic, and they love it when you use that word! I went to the factory last Friday and Bob, head of service showed me around. They have a top notch operation there and the owner even came out and checked out my coach. Seems he used to be an Airstream salesman! They are great people and the try hard to please. I would recommend their products to anyone.

Hi John,
Glad you had a chance to visit their facility. They are top knotch in product, service and hospitality. For those of you that are disappointed that the newer Airstreams do not have a reverse switch on the vent there are various upgrade kits available. The 1230, 1240 and 6200 Kits. For those more adventurious you could install your own double pull double throw switch in the vent face. In actuality what you are doing is changing the polarity to the 12 volt DC motor using the switch.

Regards,
Scott
