I remember a couple weeks agos someone was looking for a screw on porch light. Well I just saw one on Ebay, currently no bids but a buy it now for $55.00. Posting states new so check it out.
Amazing what you can find with a little investigation huh? Thats why I love this forum, everyone protects everyones interests. Good job. Thanks Toastie
Looks like you should avoid anything sold by farmallskidoo on ebay. What a rip off.
Dwightdi,
Why do you say that is a ripoff? No one broke the buyer's arm to pay that amount. An item is worth what a willing buyer and seller agree. Do you know farmallskidoo?

Before this gets out of hand, I have to step in...
Ok, first things first... anyone who knows me knows me knows that I'm not a scammer... I may be a Schemer, but not a scammer! This all started with a test of what fascinates me... the Ebay phenomenon... I've seen the same light (not sold by me go for over $202) - hell, I bid $200. Now, I have recently bought a few extra of these (once I found a source), and put a couple up on Ebay... with a starting bid of exactly $16.95 - what I paid. I've sold two now, one that did not go "Buy it now" but bid up from the $16.95 that it started at (not my fault) and then the second one that someone hit the "Buy it now" - starting bid was still the $16.95...my third one is there now - again - starting bid at $16.95... now for the shipping - someone stated $15 for shipping - incorrect - $10.00 is it! If you do the math here guys, shipping with Insurance is $8.50, so that leaves $1.50. Ebay charge is over $1 and then Paypal fees are over $1 - Heck, I'm losing money if only one person bids.... and I'm a RAT? RIP-OFF! If you know me, I'm not and really get offended when someone that can't even add things up, thinks so. The Buy it now? Well, if you're someone out there that hasn't done your homework, and Buys it now, am I to blame.... you're free to think so, but I don't.
For finding these, and getting them out there for cost (bid more if you'd like - cause I'll put towards my 58 Sovereign of the Road restoration), go ahead!) for a service to the community... No one is asking you to BID! But, as usual, the guy trying to help out, is a RAT, RIP-OFF guy.. nice negative thoughts by the third POST!!!!!
But, I'm sure I'll be run up a tree here!
This also shows that the poor guy in Minnesota needs to raise his price as the going Market value is much higher than his $16.95 that he's charging...
I'll admit to it - again, no one is making anyone do anything... why no attacks on the guy selling Airstream Life back issues that sold for over $13 a copy...

Sorry about the negativity Rob, This is indeed a free market society and value is judged on what the buyer will pay. Hope the heat lightens up a little. I myself have overpaid for items just for the mere conveniance.
It is like in discussion about $180 vent covers.
Everybody has an opinion. I can only imagine what it was before Internet.
Anybody remembers?
Let me rephrase that. Anybody wants to remember?
