Leaking range vent

Any one else have this problem ? When it rains heavy /blowing we get a leak coming thru the outside stove vent flap.It drips down under the seam in the interior just above the range top where the interior walls meet.We have a 2011 Flying Cloud.looks like it's coming from the flap.

Stove Vent Leak - Replace the vent.

I had this leak, among others. It was easier for the tech to replace the whole vent rather than try to figure out why it was leaking. I would think, however, that you could check any screws to ensure it stays tight against the gasket, and possibly use caulk around the edge. My "flapper" door seems to sit pretty tight when I secure it shut with the little restraints. Is yours like that?

Check out this thread, I replaced the cheep plastic with a stainless vent cover. No leaks, no flap noise in the wind, no plastic lock thingey ....and it looks really cool.

Wow, even the good ones fade away, sorry to hear that.

Never there in person but ordered a few things from them, very helpful seemed like great folks.

Yes, the items you got from them are really nice quality upgrades. I stopped in there a while back to get exactly the same items and sadly they were no longer selling them.
I believe they had them made locally, but I had no luck finding out who manufactured them or where we could buy them now.
