fantastic vent doesn't work
I have two Fantastic Vents in my 04 classic Airstream. They are great but the one in the bedroom stopped working recently. I called Fantastic Vents and they were excellent in helping me diagnose the problem and they sent me a replacement circuit board for free. I replaced that and the new control switch but it still doesn't work. I have power up to the vent. Anybody have any ideas what could be the problem??

is the battery in the remote good? If so does it need to be reset? You say you have power... How about the ground?

This unit does not have a remote. Which wire would be the ground? there are green, blue, red, black and white wires.

Black is positive.... White is negitive/ground should go from fan to a contact on the trailer skin (at least this is where our goes)

Same problem here with a 2004. Was going to call Fantastic Vent on Monday. It worked fine when stored for the winter and was intermittent in operation at the last rally. I spun motor after it looked like motor started to turn then stopped , motor is free no binds. Worked all day after that (hand spin with power off and then a restart). Rain Sensor closed the vent during the night and fan would not restart , tried to hand spin again no luck. Left cover open and a hour or so later fan started working. Tried fan today and it is dead again. Havent trouble shot system yet any further than that , I am leaning towards the circuit board myself , was hoping for a diagram from Fantastic Fan.

You can unplug the rain sensor and see if the fan works. What "stumped" the man I spoke with at Fantastic Vent was that both the fan didn't work and the vent didn't open automatically. I would be ok with just having the fan go, since I can open the vent manually. I would be interested to hear from you about what advice Fantastic Vent will give you.

Vent always opened fan not running was he issue so I guess a little different from Your problem. I called Fantastic today and was advised to clean the contact of the plunger switch under the cover. It is perfectly obvious once You know it is there to see it. It was a 7/16 wrench to remove and some contact cleaner and now everything works fine.

I had this problem once a few years ago and couldn't figure out what the problem was. Turn the unit on then turn the temperature adjustment knob. The knob has a cutoff built in. It's worth a try.

CT hit it on the head... it is the plunger switch. I am almost 99.3% sure of it.
Remove the nut and clean the contacts. It will work perfectly then.
