Fantastic frustrations- Shuts at random

First, I LOVE my Fantastics....what a great product. I love the air movement, but lately the one over my bed in the 09 27FB has started closing at random. On Sat night, I was up for a couple hours in the middle of the night because it all of a sudden closed and powered off. No rain, no change in temp.

When I pull the knob to manually raise, all is fine, but in about 5 mins, the motor engages to pull the lid back down even though in manual. It cuts off after prob 3 mins, then starts again about 5 mins later.

Could this be a dirty rain sensor? A friend said there's a way to disengage the rain sensor? I have the hoods, so would like to do that if so.

Humidity swings will activate the fan cover.

Yes- we did have a heavy fog come in and I was parked just off the water so could have been the cause.
