Fantastic fans vs. Stock retrofit

I've been thinking about replacing the existing vents with a couple FF's, but I am a little hesitant on removing the existing aluminum hatches which have never leaked. I wonder if there is an alternative retrofit fit that will get me some more airflow.

Also check out Maxx Fan. I like them better because you can travel with them open and they work better in the rain.

Dear Toto-ro, what year and model is your Airstream. The max fan/fantastic fan is almost plug and play with newer models. It might be a bigger deal with pre-90's models.
