How I got on my roof:

I hadn't installed a Fan-Tastic fan until today. I installed the front one today and removed the television antenna while I was up there. I tapped the rivet centers with a center punch, drilled the heads off, and cut the rivet shanks with a Stanley wood chisel after I lifted the old roof vent off. That cut em off flush just like butter.
My hot wire was red. I just put a solderless connector on the white and grounded it to the frame. I ordered the curved garnish and it fit perfect. I only had a straight metal shear and a right hand aviator. Before I install the other two I'll pick up a left hand aviator. I thought I had one when I started but I didn't find it.
The install is very straight-forward. I got the fans from Vintage Trailer Supply. They are gray cover and gray trim and have that OEM look. The people at Vintage Trailer Supply are great. I've ordered three times from them and they know what they have in stock by looking at the inventory while I'm on the phone. They ship out the orders fast and everything's correct. I like doing business with them.
