Fantastic fan issue. Help!!!!

Our Fantasic Roof Vent Fan is still working, but only runs at low speed. We have a knob where we would turn it up and down and it would run on high or at low speed. Now, when we turn the knob, it still only runs on low speed, even if the knob is turned the whole way. What could the problem be? Our Airstream is a 2012 sport.

I wonder if the temp dial has anything to do with it? I still don't know how that works (doh!) but try putting that dial all the way in the blue and then turn your speed knob to different settings. No clue if that will help but it's something to try and talk about with customer service if it doesn't work...

If you're handy with a screwdriver, you can probably fix it yourself.

Remove the screws that hold the switch in place. There is a coil on top of the switch device that's about 2" in length (approx.). More than likely the coil is compressed too much (some of the loops are touching one another) and is the cause of your fan's inability to change speed.

Stretch that coil a bit (so the loops are not rubbing together). That should take care of your problem.

That's a temp sensor, like you said, turn it to the blue all the way if you want it to run constantly, more towards the red to have it turn off sooner. Of course, this is all dependent on the air temperature coming across the sensor. It drives me nuts too and I understand it. I just put it on so the fan always runs if it's turned on. If I get too cool, I turn it off.

We have a 2011 16' Sport and our exhaust only fan is a Shurflo Comfort Air. We had the same issue with the fan running slowly.
(remove negative lead from battery first) I removed the motor from the housing and lowered it through the support arms, while still leaving the wiring connected. I then removed the motor's assembly screws and pulled the end cap and motor sleeve apart. I saw that the residue from the brushes had "gummed up" the bearings with carbon. I held the motor assembly in one hand with a large rag and gave everything a good dose of WD40. Reassembled and it was good to go. Variable speed control worked fine. Hope your issue can be resolved the same way!

My 22 Sport is fully manual unlike the temp sensor type on my 25.
