Fantastic fan installation
DH and I are going to put in our fantastic fans this week...hopefully. Seems pretty straight forward and I think it should be okay. (that said it should be a long week..lol)
We are looking at a new Vent Fan installation kit from Eterna-Bond. We like the ease and look of just putting the eternabond around the edges and not having to have a bunch of caulk around the vent.
Is this something that will work or should we steer clear of the stuff.
thanks.

Fantastic fans are great
Hello Missy .. I would suggest that you give the company a call and see what they have to say... we had 2 installed at the factory in Imlay City , Michigan and could not have had a better job done.. and we love them so much we are having them put in our 30' Argosy (new to us) and in oiur 5th wheel.. I like the look of my vent covers inside my trailer. Will the Fantastic fans replace those covers? If so, how do they look?

Yes, These will replace the covers on the inside. We have large plastic "light" covers on the inside with no real breeze generated by the fans.
These will replace them and give a wonderful breeze as well as a look outside. lol
Happycamper, I will call them. We had these in our 5th wheel and removed them before we got rid of the rig. We LOVE these things and as soon as we have the money will put one in the 3rd hole in the roof.

Missy - Photos?
Missy -
Am thinking of replacing an existing rear vent with a FF and saw you referenced the same addition.... any photos???
Did you do the work yourselfs or was it done by a dealer?? Cost? Material, install, other stuff??
Do you perchance have a 'materials included list' that came with your FF prior to install, as I am thinking of getting one used but want to be sure to have everything I need - or know what I am missing before I give the man the $'s...
Thanks for your input.

I think the Fans have a special bottom for installing in a (round roof) Airstream. Give them a call, and let them know you removed yours from your flat roofed RV, and want to install in an Airstream. They should be able to provide you with what you need.

Photos...hahaha. I could gove you photos of the fans sitting in my garage. lol
My moms stroke has postponed everything I have tried to plan...fans included.
The original box comes with the one piece fan, an inner trim piece and sccrews. You need to add some kind of goopy, sticky stuff to caulk it in and screw it down.
Now then, for an Airstream you need a different shaped hole (square the corners) and a different kind of goopy caulk stuff. That is why I was thinking of the eternabond. And, I think you want to rivet them, not screw them in.
I called FF and asked them how much the inner trip piece for an Airstream would cost me and they shipped me 2 of them for free. Very nice about it also.
If I dont run out of money I think I am going to have the local dealer put them in when I have a bunch of stuff done in about 2 weeks. It looks like I may have more money that time in the near future...and I dont have alot of money.

Medical adversity
Missy -
Sorry to hear of your moms medical issues. Hang in there!
Thanks also for the FF info - the no photo thing is no big deal!
Thanks again
All the best to you AND your mom!
