Fantastic Fan and Skylight Configuration

We have a 1978 31' Sovereign and want to replace all the vent/lights with a combination of fantastic fans and skylights. We may also mess with the "hood fan"

We've read all the pros cons of fantasic fans versus max fans.

We have 4 "holes" to fill and are trying to figure out the best configuration.

There is a small 6" "vent fan" already in the bathroom.

Here are the locations

#1. in living room, front of trailer. skylight.
#2. in galley, near stove, vent fan. which may make the fan over the stove a moot point
#3. in bedroom, vent fan.
#4. in "closet" right before bathroom. skylight.

We will be putting under cabinet lights under all the lockers so are not worried about night time light, just thinking about maximizing our ventilation versus light...

One more question, anybody replace the stove vent fan with a quieter model? In that case, we would put skylight over galley and another vent in the living room.

Photos would help us help you.

I had a 78 Excella rear bedroom/center bath. There were no skylights offered then, so a previous owner added them if you have them.

In mine the layout was;
1. in living room a fan/light combination with a gray opaque lid.
2. in galley centered in the room the AC unit, no skylight.
3. in the rear bedroom a vent fan with a gray opaque lid
4. in the middle bath there was a round Ventline VanAir fan.

If I were doing the things you are considering I would use Fantastic Fans at both extreme ends of the trailer. They move an incredible amount of air. You can open windows and blow both out. Or you can close windows and blow one in and one out. Lots of flexibility and they will provide all the ventilation you will ever need. I would cap these with a fan cover so that they can be used while the trailer is in transit, or when it's raining.

I would use Maxim skylights, not even considering any other type. They will custom make any size you want. They are the best I've experienced.

I have not found any quieter stove vents, so no suggestions from me.
