Fan-Tastic Ultrabreeze Vent Cover

Are any of you using the new Fantastic Ultrabreeze Vent Cover?

I'd be interested in some first hand comments about product.

I too am looking for a couple of them. So far, I haven't found a local source for them. I would prefer to hold one and look it over before buying a pair for the trailer.

vent cover

Jim & Dottie the fantastic vendors at the Florida State rally had a couple of the new vent covers on display last week. They were able to demonstrate how well the covers work using their static display. Appears there is no loss of airflow when using the new cover. I was able to touch and feel the new cover and it seems to be well made and the installation seems very simple. Of course for years the fantastic vent people have been convincing us the covers were not needed. I have seen it demonstrated by opening the vent fan just until the fan comes on and leaving it in this position rain will not enter the trailer and the airflow remains unobstructed. Actually the curvature of the cover causes the air to flow downward & outward around the edges forcing the rain away.

I noticed them in a new sales paper Camping World sent me. Apparently they are priced according to the color you select. White is the least expensive and the other 2 colors, black or smoke are $10.00 more.
I haven't had a chance to see one up close, but hope to check one out in the next couple of weeks at our local CW store. not sure if they have them in stock since it is such a new product.

This is just an update to my last post here. I read on the Fantastic web site that more colors are going to be intoduced later this year. They are also going to come out with a snap in bug screen for these these vent covers that will be sold in addition to the cover. Currently, it's my understanding, that the screen that comes with the unit is actually of a size mesh that only keeps out leaves and small animals from getting to the fan.
