Direct Wiring Fantastic Vent

I'd like to modify the way the fantastic vent fans in my trailer are wired. Power for the fans comes from the nearby light fixture. I'd like to be able to operate the lights from the wall switch and the fans from their built-in switch.

So far I have only played with the bedroom fan. I tried to push a snake up the inside of the wall from the light switch near the doorway and also from the TV cable and 12V jack cover plate on the curb side near the foot of the bed. The wire from the light switch (purple with white stripe) goes up the wall from the switch, but pulling on it doesn't move the wire at the light. I suspect that wire goes into a wire loom with others and the bundle is secured with cable ties.

Has anyone snaked 12V power to either fan location, and if so, how did you do it?

Thanks,

Al
