Our 96 Excella has a rather cheesy looking stove vent cover on the outside.
It is made of plastic and even seems to be growing some algae or mold
critters, just like real cheese.
Is anyone aware of a metal replacement?
Plan B is to clean it up and paint it with an aluminum look paint. Does
anyone know of a commonly available paint that would stick to the plastic
and hold up under full sun?
Attached is a photo of the vent cover.
Thanks for any info.

I think I'd look for an aluminum vent, or have one made, your local plumber / HVAC people could do it rather inexpensively. If you decide to paint it, "Krylon Fusion" paint is made just for plastic, you can find them on the web by searching Krylon Fusion. I'm using it on the plastic bathroom panels in my 68 Safari.
Oh well, it looks like I'll have to go with the paint.
Thanks for the info on the Krylon.
It will have to wait a while, the temps were around 10
deg here on Thanksgiving. BRRRRRRR!

Krylon Fusion is great stuff. Have used it on numerous outdoor projects. On my trailer I painted the A/C shroud a silvery color after heavy degreasing (CASTROL Super Clean; then acetone, quickly) and after using a primer. Three coats later seems to be good.
I have used on outdoor furniture with impressive results considering Texas sun.
K-F is sold only a little amount per can. The expense adds up, but it does well. Buy more than you'll need.
