Broken roof vents

I have a 1971 25' Caravanner and have been working on the roof vents. The crank system is the screw style with the small hand crank at the bottom. Every time I touched one I broke it!!! Has anyone seen or heard of a place to order some new ones. Or is there a way to replace this style with out replacing the entire roof vent????

It was not the same screw system I have. Mine has two (approximately) 5" screws on each side of the vent to raise and lower. Each screw has it's own crank handle??? But thank you for the suggestion.

I believe the parts you are looking for are available from Inland RV. Be prepared for sticker shock.

The ones that are available now are reproductions that are considerably better that the originals but at a cost three times what the original ones cost. So many of them broke it is very difficult to locate them in scrap yards but you can try. Once in a while some show up on ebay but really go high.

I might have it

I might have the entire vent assembly. I replaced the forward vent in my 1976 Sovereign a few years ago with a Fantastic Vent. The last time I remember seeing this was in my attic. I will check tomorrow and let you. If I have and you want it its yours for the cost of shipping.

I am sorry

I went ahead and climbed up in the attic and it is not there. All kinds of other A/S parts but not the vent. I sorry I spoke before looking to see if it was still there.

Was it just the crank arm that broke? If so:

Swivel Window Handle
