Bathroom Vent Fan
I only have a vent (no fan) in my bathroom. Is there a smaller fan that may be installed? Thanks for your response.

You should be able to put an inline fan into the existing duct. Is it a round, automotive style coiled duct? If so, you could get an inline fan for it. They have them for old air-cooled volkswagens.

Depending on the size of your vent opening, take a look at this one. I think it is what they currently put in the Classics:

If you don't have room for that one, this is the one that is identical to the one that is OEM in my 2006 Safari Bunk:

There may be others if you do a search on RV power vents or some such nomenclature.

Oh, that kind of vent. I was thinking exhaust duct and fan. I need to remember that Airstreams have probably evolved a bit since my 1972 model!

Thanks!

I'm sure I understand why the need for a vent but why put it through the roof. The older units - read as vintage - use a vent opening nest to the toilet on the face of the cabinet with an automotive duct (about 3" in diameter) and a 12v inline fan that is exhausted through the floor of the unit. One less place to leak and easy to clean to maintain efficiency of the fan The intake and the exhaust ports are covered with haevy duty screen. Very functional and works great. Love the old design.
