Are skylights a good idea?

I am restoring a 68 Safari. I was thinking of replacing the three top vents with skylights. How do they attach and would people recommend doing this?

Thanks.

The roof vents provide much needed air circulation and will go a long way to keeping the inside of the trailer cooler in hot sunny weather. Replace them if they are shot, but keep at least two as operational vents. I think you’d be happy with a fan in at least one of the vents as well. We replaced all 3 roof vents as they were all pretty well toast. The front and rear ones have fans, and the center one is normal. Even if you have a/c, operational roof vents are very useful.

Minno:

Chris gave you good advice about keeping working vents. I kept two of my originals, re-furbishing them, but also added a German made MIDI HEKI sky-light. It floods the interior with light and provides even more ventilation.

See it here:
