1975 27' International Range Vent Stuck

I am wondering what the easiest way to get my range vent to operate, it is stuck and won't budge. It is behind the panel and dosen't seem to be easily evaluated without a major removal of a whole lot of stuff; electrical stuff. Any help would be great I have a full manual but I not sure how to begin. Any help would be great. I tried getting to the mechanism through the underside but that didn't get me anywhere.

If it is like my 75 Trade Wind, the lever is connected to a cable that operates the outer door. You should be able to disconnect the cable and see if the problem is the lever or the cable/door. You may want to first check the to make sure the door is not sealed shut or somehow latched shut. On my trailer I can see behind the control panel from the over head next to it.

On my '77 the entire workings of the vent is accessable from below the vent hood by removing the grease filter.
