Windows sticking to weatherstripping

Despite the passage of time and the application of some silicone, I'm still having problems with my windows sticking to the weatherstripping, making them hard to open. Is this a common problem? Any suggestions?

Rubbing talcum powder (baby powder) on rubber weatherstripping usually stops it from sticking where it should not.

Jammer -- this is a common maintenance issue. The best answer is by lewster -- here. To control overspray, I still tend to spray it on a folded paper towel and then rub it all over the gaskets. I used to do this once or more a year -- until I followed lewster's advice with the teflon spray. The interval is more like once every 18 months or so now. The gaskets up under the Fantastic Fan tend to need the same treatment.
