Window trim rivets

I have removed the interior window 4-piece trim/surround units on my 1956 Flying Cloud, and several of the 4-piece units have a broken rivet (a short rivet) in a corner so that the four pieces do not stay together as a rectangle.

What type of rivet should I use to replace the broken joints? Any other advice as to how to deal with this issue?

Just went out to the carriage house to check the frames from my 55fc and the corners are joined with a small (3/32?) solid head hollow shank squeeze type rivet probably a #40 drill size. for such a small number of rivets I think I would use a short 1/8 button head pop rivet and just set the tail a little shorter if necessary when reinstalling. I doubt anybody will ever notice unless you are intent on a museum quality restoration.

What Tim said. I use 1/8 short pops. They work fine.

Did you remove the window center struts (through which the window crank mechanism passes) to clean, repaint, etc., and then reattach with the same rivets you describe above?
